Activities in the surroundings
The landscape surrounding our camp site is as diverse as are the possibilities for leasure activities in the outdoors. Hiking, jogging, going for a walk or biking – everybody will find the right activity for themselves. A sporting challenge can be found just as well as a nice tour for a walk with your family.
HIKING
Our camp site lies in the middle of a unique hiking area. The route „Westweg“ (Pforzheim-Basel) and the route „Querweg“ (Freiburg-Bodensee) pass our site. Moreover, the mountain Feldberg offers beautiful hiking tracks for all ages. Please do not hesitate to ask for current hiking maps at the reception.
BIKE
All aficionados of biking will get their money’s worth on the Black Forest’s multiple tracks of all levels of difficulty. There are also specially marked mountain biking tracks.
FISHING
All fans of fishing can cast their lines into the Seebach directly at the camp site or into the lake Titisee (300 m distance). A valid annual fishing licence and a fishing permit is needed. Daily, weekly and monthly permits are available.
SWIMMING
In the Titisee you can swim excellently and do other water sports. For bathing fans there is the bathing area at the Titisee (free entrance) with adjacent spa garden. Or you can visit the Badeparadies Schwarzwald with its adventure & recreation world.
SKI & SNOWBOARD
Hinterzarten, a well-known winter sports centre, is just 3 km away. The mountain Feldberg offers ski runs of all levels of difficulty and many ski lifts and it can be reached comfortably by bus (8 km).
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
Our private cross-country ski runs (3 and 5 km) are also suitable for children and beginners. In our main building a ski cellar is at your disposal.
Museum of old agricultural machinery
OLD AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY IN A HISTORIC AMBIENCE
The museum for old agricultural technology was established in the farm barn of the over 400 year old Bankenhof. This historic ambience presents an impressive collection of old agricultural equipment and machinery, the likes of which can hardly be found today.
SPECIAL EXHIBITION PIECES
The oldest specimen in the collection is a wooden plow from 1885. The most colorful exhibit is the grass-green "Allgaier Kaelble" tractor from 1952. With its 20 horsepower, it still drove 18 kilometers per hour.
